The 270 kilometres of pistes in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn are divided into the categories blue, red and black. Families and beginners practice their swings on the specially arranged areas and the blue downhill runs, the more advanced will feel especially at home on the red pistes and true pros love the challenge of the black pistes. The state-of-the-art lifts feature clever concepts and great amenities for making your way uphill quickly and in comfort. Those who book their holidays in the Gamshag enjoy all the benefits – the Reiterkogelbahn together with the beginners’ lift from the middle and access into the ski area as well as the Early-Bird-offer, depending on conditions, can be reached in two minutes’ walk.
The high-altitude cross-country ski trail at the head of the valley in Hinterglemm is located at the end of the valley and leads through scenery covered in deep snow, away from the hotspots and in wonderful peace and quiet. The surroundings here are particularly attractive – surrounded by the beautiful mountain backdrop, the route leads along Saalach River all the way to Lindlingalm and back again. Stopping off in the romantic lodge is particularly recommended. A short break to enjoy some regional treats and hot drinks make cross-country skiing a delightful experience for the whole family.
Less than two minutes’ walk away you’ll find the Reiterkogelbahn cable car, together with a 3.5 kilometre long toboggan run. Depending on conditions, the toboggan run is also open in the evenings and floodlit. Toboggans can be rented directly at the lift, the lift ride is included in the valid ski pass. In addition to the toboggan run in Hinterglemm there is also the one in Saalbach at Spielberghaus. After notifying the Höll family, they will pick you up by snow groomer at the meeting point and then you can toboggan back down into the valley (snack-stop possible).
For those who want to explore the valley away from the pistes as well, we recommend the various winter activities. The Gamshag is located right in the centre of Hinterglemm – and so the coolest winter sports options are easily accessible. 140 winter hiking trails, various snowshoeing routes, guided tours, the touring routes, and ice-skating rink and curling sheet, the Golden Gate Bridge of of the Alps, the Treetop Trail, the museum of local history and ski museum, the Enchanted Forest, horse-drawn sleigh tours and much more are waiting to be explored.
